Where's the Church?

After 50 years and over 63 million babies later, Roe v Wade has been overturned!

What does that mean? At a national level, abortion will be banned. For some States, it went into effect immediately upon the Supreme Court ruling.

So what does that mean at a State level? Every State will decide on its own.

How about us in California? Abortions as usual. I suspect California will ramp up abortions.

Love Life wristband pro-life

This day is a celebration of life!

For the believer in Jesus, to whom I am writing this too. He’s given us life! We were once lost and now saved by His Grace. We were destined to die, but because of His grace, He saved us.

I remember the day I gave my heart to Jesus. At the end of the church service, I walked up and kneeled in prayer at the front podium of our church. I remember the joy, and I also remember the tears that ran down my face. I was once dead, but I was now alive in Christ. He did it all for me! It changed my life forever! Like millions of other Christians, I know what it means to be alive, born again.

If Christians have experienced this newness of life, a change of heart, a renewing of the mind, and a complete transformation of our hearts. How can we not rejoice with the overturning of Roe v Wade?

Pro-choice Reverend Raphael Warnock tweets against pro-life.

Reverend Raphael Warnock posted this on his Instagram. “I’m outraged by the Supreme Court’s decision. As a pro-choice pastor, I’ll never back down from this fight.”

These are the social media snippets the American people read and follow, from reverends and pastors. Christians should bring the light and hope of Jesus Christ through the gospel. But, what we are reading is the exact opposite.

Could it be that many in our churches are not born again, including the pastors and reverends preaching the message? Of course!

Attending a church, holding a bible, reading a bible, and knowing the bible doesn’t mean you're saved. Salvation is exclusively in Jesus Christ and the works He did for us. That is His birth, death, resurrection, and ascension.

These last few years have been daunting times for the American people, and the world. But, for the believer, the events we see happening today have been penned thousands of years ago. The bible says in Isaiah chapter 5 verse 20. People will call evil good and good evil. This is what we are seeing today; not just from politicians and celebrities, but believers and pastors.

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade is a good thing! It is good because we are saving the lives of the unborn, and we are respecting the bodies and lives of mothers. And above all, we are honoring God and His little image-bearers.
