I would have never imagined in America, that a child’s right to life would be printed on a ballot and determined by the people. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness was granted to all people in this nation. The Declaration of Independence declared it!
A woman's right to reproductive freedom was never an issue here in the State of California. Women have had the right to reproduce and have children without any legal restriction, bias, or prejudice.
Freedoms and rights come with great responsibility, and producing a child is no exception. The results and abuse of these rights can be damaging, hurtful and in this particular case - the death of a child.
This responsibility should not only fall on the mother but the father as well; and includes but is not limited to nurturing, caring, protecting, and providing for the child.
Abortion has been legal in the State of California since 1969. The law granted abortion up to 24 weeks or up to viability - unless the mother’s life is in danger.
Viability: a baby that can live on its own outside the womb.
Governor Gavin Newsom of California diligently crafted a proposition that would extend abortion rights from 24 weeks until birth. Meaning an unborn child would have no right to life during any period in the womb.
November 8th, 2022 will be a day printed in history books. The people of California have decided in favor of Governor Gavin Newsom and proposition 1 - the people have agreed that abortion should have no term limits and be enshrined in the California constitution.
The people of California, by a majority, have voted yes on Proposition 1.
The verdict has been read and the sentence pronounced. The unborn, without a voice and without representation have been sentenced to die at will and on demand.
Court is adjourned!
God have mercy on the people of the State of California. 1 John1:9
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
2 Timothy 3:1-4
